BUILD 2021 is a series of community-building events to create leadership opportunities for Black men to positively impact, heal, unite, inspire, celebrate, engage & build their community. Events will be held from May 2021 to August 2021. The first event is the Mother's Day event to be held on May 8, 2021 from 1-4 pm at LEMs Bookstore located at 5023 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA. Other events include Father's Day Event, 90's Little League Football Reunion, Block Party, and Blaq August Nurturing Generations. Events will take place in various part of Southeast Seattle.

Events planned include BUILD Community Movie Nights, BUILD Holiday Bowl, BUILD Barbershop Series, and BUILD Community Kickball Event. The anticipated project completion is October 31, 2022.

The Brandon Triangle Community Garden will build a high volume cider press for use by the Brandon Orchard P-patch, the neighborhood community, and partner organizations. The Orchard will also use the press for a public event during the fall harvest.

BUILD'N Community will celebrate and recognize Seattle's Black community with a series of family centered events. The first event a Father's Day Celebration, will be held on Sunday, June 23rd from 1-3 pm at the Royal Esquire Club, 5016 Rainier Avenue South. A Community Car Show and a Community Field Day are planned for later this summer. Each event will include great food, music and activities for all ages. Activities are free and open to the public.

The Friends of Hiawatha will engage in street activation thru art at 843 Hiawatha Pl S that will include the side streets of S. Charles and Dearborn Ave corners. The activation includes tree lighting for beautification, and culminating with a winter celebration on February 7, 2025 on First Friday Artwalk. The event is free and open to the public.
