Accepted Answer

Each number counts distinct open, applyable grant opportunities whose eligibility includes that state, drawn from FindGrants' index of federal (Grants.gov, SAM.gov, NSF, NIH), state, and foundation sources. Counts are de-duplicated per grant and refreshed daily. Nationwide grants with no state restriction are not included in the per-state totals but are available to organizations everywhere.
