Department of Fish and Wildlife

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife seeks proposals for highest priority projects associated with the implementation of an NCCP. The intention of this Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) is to solicit proposals of the highest quality that are consistent with the goals of the NCCP Program. To help achieve this intention, the PSP provides guidance on Applicant eligibility, the grant process and deadlines, and application and submission procedures. Proposals must address the highest priority tasks associated with the implementation of an NCCP such as: Management Activities: Immediate management actions on newly acquired NCCP reserve lands. Restoration/Enhancement: Restoration or enhancement of habitats or species populations on NCCP reserve lands. Monitoring: Design and implementation of biological monitoring programs identified in an NCCP, including the establishment of sampling methods, monitoring plots, data collection, management, and analysis. Reserve Management Plans: Development and implementation of individual reserve management plans. Mapping: New or updated mapping in support of NCCP management or monitoring activities, such as vegetation community mapping. Targeted Studies for Adaptive Management: Studies to evaluate management actions for covered habitats or species, and whether such actions are meeting stated goals or require adjustments through adaptive management. Other: Other non-land acquisition priority tasks, identified by the applicant and implementing partners, which are needed to ensure effective implementation of the NCCP. This solicitation opens on June 1st, 2026, and closes at 8:00 pm (PDT) July 31st, 2026.

National Institutes of Health

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) seeks to broaden the types of knowledge, skills, expertise, experience, and perspectives brought to bear in research addressing the ethical, legal and social implications (ELSI) of advances in human genetics or genomics. This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) solicits UM1 applications from domestic organizations located in the United States and its territories that received less than $30 million per year in total NIH funding for the past three fiscal years. These organizations are underrepresented among those receiving NHGRI funding for ELSI research. The Building Partnerships and Broadening Perspectives to Advance Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications (ELSI) Research (BPAER) Program will support: 1) transdisciplinary ELSI research addressing timely, complex, and understudied topics, 2) the establishment of research teams that include representatives from relevant communities who are affected by and have an interest in the proposed research, 3) research capacity building to develop, conduct and sustain ELSI research, and 4) workforce development opportunities for early career scholars, research team members, and other research project staff. Transdisciplinary ELSI research projects require involvement from two or more fields of knowledge and use of multiple research approaches. Relevant communities must be actively and meaningfully involved on ELSI research teams across all phases of proposed research projects. Research capacity building plans must be informed by a needs assessment. Given the complex structure, a strategic management plan, evaluation plan, and sustainability plan are required to ensure successful completion of the program.

Centers for Disease Control - NCCDPHP

In collaboration with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and federally funded programs, you will implement a project focused on reducing chronic disease rates within a defined geographic area within four communities: Lake County, Indiana; Sandusky and Toledo metro area, Ohio; Brownsville, Texas; Petersburg, Virginia. The goal is to demonstrate how individual and system-level interventions can encourage healthier habits and choices that can reduce the burden of chronic disease in children. When these lifestyle and community changes are maintained over time, reductions in the burden of chronic diseases among adults in the United States may eventually result.Findings from these demonstration programs will inform the potential replication of successful interventions in additional communities.Additionally, HHS will use findings from this demonstration project to inform future approaches to funding and measuring effects of novel efforts to improve health for individuals and communities.

This grant opportunity will result in funding organizations to educate and train primary care (family medicine, internal medicine, OB/GYN, and pediatric) residents to work in underserved communities. All residency programs shall incorporate the following strategies into their programs:    1.      Providing training sites in medically underserved multi-cultural communities, lower socioeconomic neighborhoods, or rural communities, and preparing primary care physicians for service in such neighborhoods and communities. 2.      Establishing procedures to identify, recruit, and match primary care residents who possess characteristics which would suggest a predisposition to practice in areas of unmet need, and who express a commitment to serve in areas of unmet need. 3.      Implementing counseling and placement programs to encourage training program graduates to enter practice in areas of unmet need. 4.      Providing preceptorship experiences in an area of unmet need to enhance the potential of training program graduates to practice in such an area.

Administration for Community Living

This grant is funded under the Projects of National Significance (PNS) authorized by the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act. Its purpose is to increase awareness, access, and use of ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) accounts so that individuals with disabilities have the resources needed to better support their health and economic well-being and improve their economic security and mobility. Since 2015, the ABLE Act has authorized states and territories to establish tax-advantaged programs—ABLE accounts—that allow individuals with disabilities to save and invest money. These accounts may be used for qualified disability expenses, including education, food, housing, transportation, employment training, assistive technology, and health care. Beginning in January 2026, ABLE eligibility requirements were expanded to include individuals with an age of disability onset up to 46, increased from the previous limit of 26. As a result, an estimated 14 million people will be eligible for ABLE accounts, including approximately 1.2 million veterans. This expansion presents a significant opportunity to broaden outreach to individuals receiving Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI), as well as individuals with disabilities who are not enrolled in disability benefit programs, to help overcome barriers to achieving good health and meaningful employment. To advance these goals, the grant will support strategies such as coordinated marketing efforts at the national, state, and community levels; population-specific approaches implemented through partnerships with ACL grantees and community stakeholders; and a strengthened systems approach at the state level. ACL recognizes that ABLE-related supports can play a critical role in increasing economic security and mobility for individuals with disabilities.
