About This Grant
As part of NYPA's funding of its workforce training incentives is the renewable energy field, NYPA is supporting LiUNA. The funding will support and allow LiUNA to grow their pre apprenticeship programs. This series of courses prepares members of disadvantaged communities for careers as union construction craft laborers.

Eligibility
- Participants must be over 18 years of age, reside in NY and the local area of the program, capable of performing 8 hours of physical labor each day, willing to travel to job sites, legally eligible to work in the US, possess a High School Diploma, GED, or TASC. able to pass a drug test, be unemployed or have a low-income job and able to attend class Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays.
