The purpose of the SNAP E&T program is to assist members of SNAP households in gaining skills, training, or experience that will increase their ability to obtain and retain gainful employment.

The HIV Employment Initiative program offers intensive job placement services to help individuals living with HIV enter or re-enter the workforce. Services include necessary case management to ensure the continued health and support needs of participants are not compromised once working. The jobs that program participants gain under this initiative must offer health benefits.

Training is combined with support services to enable eligible participants to advance both to higher levels of education and to higher wage jobs in targeted occupational sectors.
