The Rural Communities Opioid Response Program--Behavioral Health Care Technical Assistance (RCORP-TA) strengthens, through technical assistance, rural organizations' capacity to develop multi- sector consortia that can plan, implement, and sustain programs that improve access to and quality of behavioral health care services, including substance use disorder/opioid use disorder services. This funded extension extends RCORP-TA's one cooperative agreement award recipient from cohort fiscal year 2022, HRSA-22-064, for a one-time 1- year period (September 1, 2026, through August 31, 2027). The current recipient, JBS International, Inc (U6BRH32364) was funded for a 4-year period of performance (September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2026).

In compliance with the requirement of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 to provide opportunity for public comment on proposed data collection projects, the Center for Scientific Review (CSR) National Institutes of Health will publish periodic summaries of proposed projects to be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval.

Veterans Affairs Department

VA is announcing the availability of funds for suicide prevention grants under the Staff Sergeant Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP). The SSG Fox SPGP directs efforts to reduce Veteran suicide by awarding grants to community-based organizations to provide or coordinate the provision of primarily non-clinical suicide prevention services, including outreach and linkage to VA and community resources, to eligible individuals and their families. The SSG Fox SPGP furthers VA's public health approach to suicide prevention by combining community-based efforts with linkage to clinical care to prevent Veteran suicide for those inside and outside of VA health care. The goal of these grants is to reduce Veteran suicide risk by improving mental health status, well-being, financial stability, and social support for eligible individuals and their families.

Trillium Health, Inc. currently has a 1-year period of performance (January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2025). As a new awardee in the FY 2025 Service Area Competition (SAC), Trillium was only eligible for a 1-year period of performance. Therefore, Trillium must apply to continue serving the service area through the FY 2026 SAC competition. To avoid a gap in services to its service area from the end of its period of performance until FY 2026 SAC funding is awarded, Trillium will receive a 3-month Extension with Funds to extend the end date of its period of performance from December 31, 2025, to March 31, 2026. Since there will be no SAC competition released for health centers with a period of performance end date of December 31, 2025, this extension will also permit Trillium to compete in the SAC application cycle for health centers that includes awardees who have period of performance end dates of March 31, 2026.
