About This Grant
The Vocational Development Program (VDP) provides job readiness activities (such as job coaching, job development and job placement) to releasees in order to prepare these individuals for employment searches and improve their employability. The VDP also provides enhanced services to releasees including an OSHA Introductory Course, several short-term certificate-based trainings and supportive services such as work supplies and financial literacy training.

Eligibility
- Program is available to unemployed releasees on Community Supervision with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) in the five boroughs of New York City (NYC) and to releasees in DOCCS approved locations outside of the five boroughs of NYC.
