About This Grant

The United States Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration and Office of Disability Employment Policy (USDOL ETA ODEP) awarded NYSDOL ETM Funding to develop strategies to assist youth and young adults with disabilities ? particularly in underserved communities ? in successfully transitioning into the workforce. The primary goals of the ETM Demonstration Grants are to improve the employment outcomes of multiply marginalized people with disabilities, specifically youth and young adults with disabilities (Y&YAD), as well as to increase states? capacity to develop innovative employment strategies for underserved Y&YAD and their families.

Eligibility

  • The ETM Demonstration Grants are intended to provide underserved youth with disabilities, ages 14 to 24 with comprehensive employment services designed to meet their holistic needs. The proposed target populations for this grant are Y&YAD who are: ? Youth participating in, eligible for, or potentially eligible for WIOA Title I Youth programs, ? Youth participating in, eligible for, or potentially eligible for DOL youth services and programs, ? Youth participating in, eligible for, or potentially eligible for VR services, or ? Youth participating in, eligible for, or potentially eligible for federal disability benefits.
