Rockaway Waterfront Alliance, Inc.
To support their youth internship and workforce development program, for 50 low-income youth, ages 14-18, who reside in Far Rockaway. The proposed Shore Corps training curriculum will combine interactive, on-the-job training in a variety of skills related to RWA’s mission and work around environmental stewardship and conservation, with more conventional, classroom-based training in basic employability skills that will leave participants ready to enter the workforce, especially in the area of green collar jobs.
