To meet the goals above, GWUSA will organize youth into work crews to refurbish the Lowndes Visitor Center at SEMO. The Visitor Center needs an extensive amount of interior painting to protect this important cultural resource. This opportunity will be used to train the youth in career-building preservation techniques such as plaster repair, painting, use of paint equipment, scaffolding and the like, as they refurbish the Visitor Centers interior walls.
