Denali 100: Stories of the People
About This Grant
The objective of this Agreement is to partner with StoryCorps to complete an oral history project in correlation with the Denali National Park and Preserves (DENA) Centennial Celebration (1917-2017). StoryCorps will conduct recording sessions of oral histories at DENA (the Onsite Interviews ) that feature current/former NPS employees sharing their experiences and memories of DENA. The interviews will include conversations between two or three people, and may capture milestones such as a naturalization ceremony, a dignitary s visit, or similar special event, or perhaps just a frozen moment of witnessing natural splendor. The project explores people s motivations for working for or visiting DENA, and demonstrates the uniqueness and importance of this park.
