The Spindle City Corps is a summer and year round youth program supported by CTI, a long-standing partner in the Northeast region uniquely qualified to produce programs related to the Lowell community. The CTI is a non-profit community organization that was formed in 1965 to assist low-income people to become self-sufficient, to alleviate the effects of poverty, and to assist low-income people to participate in the decisions that affect their lives; and serves as one of the leaders in the city s youth partnership. Spindle City Corps is particularly interested in the involvement of youth and young adults in the care and enhancement of public resources, the development of responsible citizenship and fosters productive community involvement. The mission of the Spindle City Corps is service, diversity and education.
