About This Grant
This task for Science Education and Outreach will create materials, and support events and opportunities for public education and enjoyment of National Park System resources and science. The NPS will ensure that the products of this task are posted on publicly accessible websites, are incorporated into NPS education programs, and distributed broadly to earth science teachers. Improving public access to, and awareness of, natural science and resource information and is necessary to support NPS management objectives, particularly those objectives relating to natural resource management and research needs, as identified in park management plans and within the Paleontological Resources Preservation Act (2009).
