Women and Non-Binary Community
About This Grant
The mission of the Women and Non-Binary Community is to grow bicycling among women and non-binary folks by providing a welcoming, encouraging, and safe bicycling experience for all self-identifying women and all non-binary bicyclists of every riding ability. We accomplish this through Cascade Bike Club’s robust Free Group Rides Program educational, and social opportunities. The Women and Non-Binary group welcomes participation from individuals who identify as a woman or non-binary, including transgender women and cisgender women. The Women and Non-Binary Program is run by a seven-member committee, which consists of two stipends for Cascade Bike Club staff and five volunteer Ride Leaders. This funding from the Neighborhood Matching Fund will cover key costs to host socials and maintenance classes for Women and Non-Binary riders at the Cascade Bike Club's office located at 7787 62nd Ave NE. This work will reach approximately 350 participants. This project will be completed by 4/30/26.
