Sisters of South Seattle

Sister of South Seattle Community Advocacy group would like to host a series of three workshops at the Hillman City Collaboratory starting September 18, 2019. The main goal of the workshops is to open the space for the community to talk about racism, gentrification, and spirituality through an African-American lens. During the workshops people will have the opportunity to share poetry/film, and discussion, led by renowned Black poet Amir Sulaiman. Food and drinks will be provided to all. The series of workshops are free and open to the public.

On September 9, 2018, from 12pm to 4pm the Sisters of South Seattle will be hosting the End of Summer Back to School Bazaar, located at 6721 MLK Jr. Way S. The Bazaar will have games and activities along with information booths about available community resources. The event is free and open to the public.

`Let?s Get Back to School` is an event to get K-12 students in the area excited about going back to school! The event will have food, games, school supply giveaways, as well as information on how to study, time management, and after school activities.
