In June we will host a community picnic, in July we will host a concert at the park with a coordinating arts and craft event for children, and in August we will host an all-ages movie night. These events will all have food and activities for children and will help build a sense of community around the park. This project will be completed by September 30, 2019.

The Seattle Dragon Boat Festival is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026 located at Lake Union Park. 860 Terry Ave N. as a celebration of Asian sport and culture! The traditional Chinese Dragon Boat Festival, also known as the Duanwu Festival, commemorates the ancient poet Qu Yuan. The festival is hosted by the Seattle Flying Dragon Boat Club, whose mission is to further awareness and participation in the sport of dragon boating. Dragon boat clubs from WA, OR, Canada, and perhaps Hong Kong or Taiwan will register for the races. This will be an all-day event, that is free and open to the public.
