About This Grant

The Displaced Homemaker Program serves people who have been displaced from their careers as unpaid homemakers. It offers services to help with barriers to self-sufficiency including: child care, transportation, housing, basic necessities, or employment, emotional challenges, medical needs, and/or legal problems.

  • A Displaced Homemaker is a person who: 1) previously provided unpaid services to their family (for example, a stay-at-home mom or dad), 2) Currently is unemployed or underemployed, and 3) plans to find a job and begin a career
