The Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (ORIP) leverages the technical expertise resides in the Division of Technical Resources (DTR) within the Office of Research Facilities to coordinate technical review of the design documents and assist ORIP managing the FY 2025 NIH-funded extramural C06 construction projects. DTR uses qualified Architect and Engineer professionals to perform technical reviews and process management of three phases of design documents: Schematic Design Documents, Development Design Documents, and Construction Design Documents. During the entire construction period, DTR manages technical reviews of design documents, comment resolution, variance request, and process management. By producing required technical assessment for ORIP to make programmatic decisions, DTR provides mission critical supports that are essential to ensure the projects’ compliance with all required codes, standards, and regulations.
