The overall mission and goal of S&T is to identify revolutionary, evolving, and maturing technologies that can be demonstrated to provide significant improvement to homeland security missions and operations through proof of concept and prototyping with potential for transition to current and future DHS acquisition processes. S&T will focus on those key areas where risk inhibits mission and operation investments and where significant capability payoffs can be expected for successful efforts. Awards may take the form of contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, or other transaction (OTs) agreements.
