About This Grant

This is the 7th project phase in a continuing relationship between the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail and North Carolina State University. This project is to collaborate with the North Carolina State University (NCSU) to expand the geospatial data relative to the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail (OVNHT) and Corridor through collaboration with trail partners and resource conservation agencies. This project will also work to conduct a trail status inventory to report on the OVNHT, examining designations that govern public use and access. This includes an examination of the Certified Sections of the OVNHT within the trail corridor.
