About This Grant

This is a notice of intent to award a single source cooperative agreement to the Midwest Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies under justification 505DM 2.14(B)(4). Competition for the award is not practical as the MAFWA has exclusive regional state fish and wildlife agency conservation planning experience across 13 states; setting conservation agendas for strategic direction for natural resources and measurements of conservation results within these boundaries. MAFWA and the coordination position for this cooperative agreement has exclusive experience and familiarity of state fish and wildlife agency and tribal management and organization operations. The Service will be substantially involved in the project under this funding opportunity. The liaison will work closely with a variety of Service personnel, including the Midwest Region's Strategic Habitat Conservation Coordinator, Monarch Coordinator and Species Status Assessment Project Coordinator.
