About This Grant
The Filipino Community of Seattle's (FCS) Bayanihan Empowerment Project (BEP) brings together our three most impactful signature events: Talipapa Market Cultural Festival, Community Tree Lighting & Night Market, and AANHPI Journeys: A Family Book Celebration (formerly AANHPI Family Book Event). BEP seeks to inspire, connect, and empower our multicultural and multigenerational community including seniors, youth, families, and entrepreneurs in the Rainier Valley area. These unique and creative events cultivate cultural pride, provide vital economic opportunities, and foster intergenerational bonds. The events are free and open to the public. The first event, AANHPI Journeys: A Family Book Celebration will be held on May 17, 2026, 11am to 3pm, at the Filipino Community of Seattle located at 5740 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S. Seattle, WA.
