About This Grant
Belltown United will bring people together in a community-driven creative placemaking experience that will result in a collection of public street, traffic box, and sidewalk installations of relevant and engaging imagery and prose, with online (web-based) support to be sure it remains available to the community. The installation will contain visual art that identifies the distinct character of the Belltown neighborhood, from a collective understanding of the community's experiences and Belltown's history and cultural significance. The digital component will be integrated with the art to provides a storytelling experience for the pedestrian, linking them to the past, present, and future of Belltown. This project will be completed by August 31, 2023.
