About This Grant
Since March 2020, federal departments, agencies and Crown corporations have been estimating and reporting expenditures related to the COVID-19 response. The **Expenditures by Type** datasets present estimated expenditures for all expenditures related to the federal government’s response to COVID-19. The **Expenditures by Measure** datasets present estimated expenditures that are directly linked to a response measure. Estimated expenditures represent cash payments made to suppliers for goods and services, or to recipients of grants and contributions. Reported data has not been audited. A reconciliation of the estimated expenditures will be conducted at year end to align with final expenditures reported in the Public Accounts of Canada which are tabled in Parliament on or before December 31 each year.
