The Tigreans in Seattle have been disconnected from their families in Ethiopia for over two years due to the unrest and blockage of the region. There is no telephone, electricity, or Internet. Tigreans here are distressed and getting chronic disease like hypertension and mental health disturbances. This project will provide outreach, support, and health resources for Tigreans in Seattle who have lost contact with friends and relatives in Ethiopia. This project will be completed by December 29, 2023.

Community Family Day

A community day to be held on August 21, 2021, at Genesee Park, located at 4316 S Genesee St from 11am to 5pm. The event is to bring the community together, as well as celebrate Tigray heritage amidst the conflict in Ethiopia and the re-opening of community events post COVID-19. The event will include a variety of foods, music, dance, games, tournament, and vendors.
