Amendment 000001 to DE-FOA-0001558. To view the changes associated with this amendment, please refer to the EERE Exchange website. The U.S. DOE Building Technologies Office Emerging Technologies program is announcing the availability of up to 3 million dollars in funding to develop energy efficient replacement lamps in general illumination applications. DOE seeks projects to develop suitable replacement lamps that meet or exceed the 45 lm/W backstop requirement for one or more incandescent general service lamp categories and that maintain the base, shape, and lumen output of the incandescent lamps they are designed to replace. The objectives of this funding opportunity are to: Accelerate development of replacement lamps that maintain the needed performance attributes of the incandescent lamps they replace while eliminating or minimizing any performance compromises Overcome technical challenges that inhibit widespread market acceptance and impede the design, development and future sale of suitable and compliant lighting products for the identified general service lamp categories Offer consumer choice The full Funding Opportunity Announcement is posted on the EERE eXCHANGE website at https://eere-exchange.energy.gov. Applications must be submitted through the EERE eXCHANGE website to be considered for award. Information on where to submit questions regarding the content of the announcement and where to submit questions regarding submission of applications is found in the full FOA posted on the EERE Exchange website.

General Service Lamps Research and Development

open

National Energy Technology Laboratory

The Emerging Technologies (ET) Program of the United States (U.S.) Department of Energy (DOE) Building Technologies Office (BTO) is seeking information from the public on incandescent lamps in general illumination applications. The ET Program supports applied research and development (R&D) for technologies and systems that contribute to reductions in building energy consumption and helps to enable cost-effective, energy-efficient technologies to be developed and introduced into the marketplace. The following are key areas of interest: 1. Incandescent lamps that currently do not have a suitable replacement lamp meeting or exceeding 45 lumens per watt (lm/W). 2. Gaps in technology that impede (or would likely impede) the design, development and future sale of greater than or equal to 45 lm/W replacement lighting products. The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather feedback from stakeholders prior to DOE potentially issuing a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). This RFI is not a FOA; therefore, DOE is not accepting applications at this time. All responses to this RFI must be provided as an attachment (in Microsoft Word format) to an e-mail message addressed to GSLRFI@netl.doe.gov. Responses must be received no later than 5:00PM EDT on April 5, 2016. The full content of the announcement can be found on the EERE Exchange website at https://eere-exchange.energy.gov.

Notice of Intent to issue Administrative and Legal Requirements Document Announcement (ALRD), titled IRA: Mitigating Emissions from Marginal Conventional Wells

open

National Energy Technology Laboratory

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to issue an Administrative and Legal Requirements Document (ALRD) on behalf of the DOE Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management (FECM) and in collaboration with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), entitled IRA: Mitigating Emissions from Marginal Conventional Wells. NETL anticipates issuing the ALRD in August 2023 with an application availability period of 30 days. The ALRD will be funded by the Clean Air Act (CAA), as amended by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). DOE is partnering with EPA to make funds available to States for the purpose of working with operators to voluntarily and permanently plug marginal conventional wells on non-Federal lands, supporting environmental restoration of the well pad, and enhancing industry s and States capacities to monitor methane and other air pollutants from wells. If released, this ALRD is expected to make available up to $350 million for financial assistance in the form of grants to States via a formula. Note: The revised Notice of Intent (NOI) document (stemming from synopsis/version 5) can be found under the RELATED DOCUMENTS tab.
