Lake City Pioneer Days Parade Association

The Lake City Summer Parade is a free and family-friendly annual event that takes place in the Lake City neighborhood on August 2nd, 2025. The Lake City neighborhood is one of the most diverse and underserved neighborhoods in Seattle. The Parade is our community's biggest day of the year, attracting up to 10,000 neighbors. Since its founding in 1947, the parade is one of the few free inclusive opportunities for people to come together and celebrate our diverse community. The parade features marching bands, drill teams, community groups, governmental agencies, and local businesses. We feature colorful floats, live music, dance performances, and other festive displays representing the diverse cultures of the Seattle area. This project will be completed by October 31, 2025.

The Lake City Parade and Summer Festival is on Saturday August 6, 2022 from 10:30am to 6:30pm on Lake City Way NE between NE 145th and NE 125th. The festival is one of the oldest Seafair sanctioned community events, and one of the few free family-friendly events on a summer Saturday in North Seattle. It is counter-programming to the Hydro races that happen the same weekend. For those who don't enjoy, or can't afford the boat races, the Lake City Parade and Summer Festival is a perfect alternative. The festival includes music and entertainment from a spectrum of world cultures. The parade and festival have brought together and celebrated the diverse cultures in the neighborhood for decades. This year it will be an essential part of helping our community recover from the pandemic and will be the first time the community will have a chance to come together and celebrate our community since the beginning of the pandemic. This project will be completed by October 31, 2022.

The Parade is our community's biggest day of the year and one of the few opportunities we all can come together to celebrate our diverse community. The parade features marching bands, drill teams, community groups, governmental agencies, and local businesses. Spectators can expect to see colorful floats, live music, dance performances, and other festive displays.

The Lake City Summer Festival is an annual event that brings together 10,000 neighbors to celebrate all the local flavor that makes Lake City and Seattle unique. The Festival is on Saturday August 4, 2018 from 10:30am to 4:30pm on NE 125th between Lake City Way NE and 25th Ave NE. The Lake City Summer Festival is one of the oldest Seafair sanctioned community events, and one of the few free family-friendly events on a summer Saturday in North Seattle.

The Lake City Summer Parade is an annual event that brings together 10,000 neighbors to celebrate all the local flavor that makes Lake City and Seattle unique. This year the Lake City Pioneer Days Parade Association will host the The Grand Parade at 7 pm on Saturday August 3, 2019. There is also a Kid's Parade that starts at 6 pm on the same day. The parade will be located on Lake City Way NE from NE 135th to NE 123rd. This project will be completed by September 30, 2019.
