On Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10am to 8pm the Hillman City Neighborhood Association will be hosting The Hillman City Block Party located in the Hillman City business district on Rainier Ave S between Mead St and Findley St. The block Party will have live music, food and drink and other family friendly activities. The block party's goal is to promote local businesses and foster community togetherness. The event is free and open to the public

Hillman City Neighborhood Association

The Hillman City Neighborhood Association, an outgrowth of Vision Hillman City, will host its first meeting on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, 7-9pm, at the Rainier Avenue Church (5900 Rainier Ave. S.). The Association will publicize the meeting through a neighborhood-wide mailing, posters, flyers, and other existing community meetings and events. They will also do personal outreach to businesses and community group leaders, including developing relationships with leaders from the neighborhood's immigrant communities. The goal is to find pathways to effective communication with all segments of the neighborhood.
