FAST Fathers and Sons Together

Fathers and Sons Together (FAST) will hold a series of events for the purpose of empowering fathers and guardians to embrace the pivotal role they hold in the family structure, and to support them in developing/mentoring their sons/male youth into manhood. Between July and December of 2017 a total of 6 events will be hosted, including baseball and basketball camps, an overnight at Camp Long, a 'Barbershop Chat, a Walk for Change and a final community gathering that will acknowledge and celebrate the participating youth.

FAST Fathers and Sons Together

Fathers and Sons Together (FAST) and key community partners will host 4 free, family friendly athletic and culturally relevant activities between August and December 2019. Planned activities are the Barbershop Chat Chew & Play, Empowerment Golf Camp, Empowerment Basketball Camp, and The Gathering. The first event is the Barbershop Chat Chew & Play on August 31st 12-4pm at the Rainier Beach Community Center located at 8825 Rainier Ave S.

FAST Fathers and Sons Together

Next Generation Level Up is an asset-based, culturally responsive career readiness program designed to empower, equip, and engage 25 Southeast Seattle residents of color aged 15-24. Program elements include resume writing, interviewing skills and on the job performance expectations. Over a 10 month period, NGLU will partner with leaders and industry professionals of color to facilitate and train participants.
